Inspirations from EuroCucina 2014 - Day 1
It’s Design Week – Day 1 wrap up – EuroCucina Part 1
This week is Design Week in Milan, Itay and we have been busy visiting iSalone to take inspiration from some of the world’s biggest and best kitchen, bathroom and furniture manufacturers.
Although it is now up to day 3 of the fair we wanted to share with you what we saw on our first day in Kitchens.
Industrial chic is the theme of this year’s kitchens. Raw textures of wood grain, concrete and metal feature heavily throughout. This kitchen from Minacciolo was showcasing the durability of concrete and timber. Water cascaded over this island which turned on all the senses.
This kitchen from Minacciolo (www.minacciolo.it) showcased a return to the use of raw materials in kitchens.
Again raw natural materials were used in this kitchen concept from Werkhaus Kitchens, using a piece of stone with many finishes to create the benchtop and island surround then matched with raw timber posts to create a screen.

Open shelving was another consistent trend throughout the kitchen spaces seen on day 1. This kitchen from Pedini demonstrates the use of open shelves in both the overhead cupboards and under the bench.
Open shelving, as seen in this kitchen from Pedini (www.pedini.it) a definite trend alert from EuroCucina 2014
Stay tuned for more inspiring kitchens from day 2 of EuroCucina.
