Kim Duffin Wins 2012 Hia Australian Kitchen Design Of The Year

Queensland-based Sublime Luxury Kitchens and Bathrooms is the winner of the 2012 HIA Australian Kitchen Design of the Year Award at the residential building industry’s prestigious awards ceremony held at the Cairns Convention Centre.

The HIA-CSR Australian Housing Awards recognise the nation’s top builders and designers. Winners are selected from a list of state-based finalists, with awards delivered in 20 separate categories (see full list below).

This award, partnered by Hettich Australia, recognises excellence in the design appearance and innovation of kitchens.

Sublime Luxury Kitchens and Bathrooms also won the award for HIA Australian Kitchen Project of the Year 2012.

The judges said the design was striking and visually well balanced. By incorporating a stunning composition of materials and textures, the kitchen is very detailed and functional. The seamless mural used, as noted by the judges, is a brave focal point, and its pattern match across to the sliding doors was described as ‘incredible.’
